The Clock Without A Face Wiki

Thirteenth Floor

The Thirteenth Floor of Ternky Tower is home to Bevel Ternky.

  • 1-1-8 - Appears on a piece of paper
  • "LV" on luggage could represent Roman numerals for 55
  • Four shower heads
  • 13 flowers on one window sill, 9 on the other. Allusion to MI clue?

Recurring Themes[]

  • Stolen Item From Another Floor:
  • Pink Doughnuts: Halfway along the lower right wall on a pedestal.
  • Eyes: One located on the item in the safe. One located on the obelisk.
  • Shower head: Four heads matches four-headed snake (dragon?) artifact in the other room.
  • Snake: snake biting tail in cabinet near vacuum, winged snake (sea monster?), four-headed snake (dragon?)
  • Cleaning equipment: shop vac out of cabinet, two upright vacuum cleaners still in cabinet above shop vac.

Other Items of Interest[]

  • Bevel is apparently the term for the curved glass that clockmakers use to cover the face of a clock. Ternky is presumed to be a homophone for "turn key," the method for winding a clock. (There are also three keys on a table in the 13th flr. apt.)
  • Several ancient Egyptian references: Glyph Street address (hieroglyph); Eye of Horus; Obelisk; Statue of the god Set (or Seth). After killing his brother Osiris, Set dismembered Osiris and buried the bodyparts at several locations in the Egyptian desert. Set is the god of the desert. Possible leads: The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas (desert location), the Pyramid Arena in Memphis, TN and Cleopatra's Needle in Central Park, NYC.
  • Louis Vuitton luggage - LV possibly Las Vegas.
  • In addition to the "grouping" of items by overlapping spotlights, art items may be grouped by the type of base on which they are displayed. Both the color and shape of each base varies.

Unidentified Art[]

  • Egyptian obelisk
  • Urn (Grecian?) or amphora
  • Serpent (Aztec?). Could be a flying snake from Dungeons & Dragons game.
  • Bust
  • Aztec mask
  • Two cans in a highlighted case
  • Large boxy item near front door (seen only from the top back)
  • Cup, chalice or grail
  • Large book: Folio? Tome? Atlas? Manuscript?
  • Large jewel
  • Jar - Is it a Ming Jar?
  • Necklace or pendant
  • Portrait near opened safe
  • Dagger or knife in highlighted case
  • Pink blotchy painting

State - Highway - Mile[]

A copy of The Clock Without a Face can be seen on the Fifth Floor. Residents Vera Mazel & Josie Grey are self-described puzzle people. When discussing the book, Vera asks for help saying that she had found the state and the mile, but can't find the highway. This has lead to the speculation that each buried number can be found by deducing a state, highway, and mile for each floor using clues found on each floor. The following section can be used for documenting any speculation as to which state, mile, and highway to which this floor may hint.
